These terms cover LocalSnow’s professional directory, Free inquiry and Book through LocalSnow services at localsnow.org. Contact legal [at] localsnow [dot] org about requests, cancellations or complaints, quoting your request reference.
For the website operator’s identity and contact details, see the legal notice.
Independent instructors and schools provide the lessons. LocalSnow provides discovery and coordination and, for paid bookings, collects payment through Stripe. LocalSnow remains responsible for its own services and promises. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights.
A Free inquiry costs nothing. LocalSnow checks each inquiry and coordinates it with the chosen professional. Contact details are shared with that professional when they accept. A listing, selected date, submitted request or successful payment does not by itself confirm instructor availability.
For Book through LocalSnow, confirmation must identify the professional, lesson dates, times, location, participants, service and final price. A school decides instructor assignment; a preferred instructor is a preference unless expressly confirmed. Tell us promptly if the confirmation contains an error.
You must see the final total and currency before paying. Equipment, forfaits, transport and accommodation are included only if expressly stated in the offer. LocalSnow may earn a commission or a margin included in the quoted total.
Stripe processes payment details. LocalSnow receives payment references and status rather than your full card number. Payment is not an escrow service or a guarantee that funds are held in a separate client account. Provider payment arrangements do not change your refund rights.
The offer must identify the lesson seller and applicable invoice arrangements before payment. Contact us for billing questions. Do not pay if essential service, seller or price information is missing.
For a booking paid through LocalSnow, if the agreed lesson cannot happen, we will offer a suitable alternative or a full refund of the amount paid to LocalSnow for that booking. You may decline an alternative and request that refund. We will not impose a replacement or a higher price without your agreement. This includes inability to obtain provider confirmation or provider cancellation; the client cancellation deductions below do not apply to those cases.
Contact us promptly if a professional does not attend or a resort closure prevents the lesson. We will assess the circumstances with you and the professional. Do not put yourself at risk to preserve a booking.
Send a cancellation request to legal [at] localsnow [dot] org with your reference. The standard client cancellation schedule is a full refund more than 72 hours before the lesson, 50% more than 24 hours and up to 72 hours before it, and no contractual refund at 24 hours or less. Any applicable mandatory refund right prevails. Exact deadlines and the relevant time zone must be disclosed before you pay.
A refund is returned through the payment processor to the original payment method where possible. Bank processing time may vary. A refund notification does not mean your bank has already credited the funds. Contact us if the payment has not arrived.
Under Spanish consumer law, the usual 14-day withdrawal right generally does not apply to leisure services for a specific date or period (Article 103(l) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007). This is distinct from the cancellation policy and the guarantee above. It does not automatically exclude withdrawal rights for a separate coordination service or an undated service. Where a statutory withdrawal right applies, these terms do not waive it. Starting a separate service during that period requires the legally required information and express request; loss of the right on full performance requires the applicable express acknowledgment.
An adult must make arrangements for minors and have authority to do so. Give accurate participant numbers, ages and ability information and follow the professional’s safety instructions. Winter sports involve risks. Ask the professional about qualifications, local permissions, insurance and equipment requirements. No risk acknowledgment waives rights that the law protects.
Do not include medical records or diagnoses in general request notes. Contact us to discuss a suitable way to arrange accessibility requirements.
Instructors and schools must hold the qualifications, resort permissions, registrations and insurance required for their activities, keep profiles and prices accurate, comply with tax and invoicing obligations, and notify LocalSnow promptly if they cannot deliver an agreed lesson. LocalSnow profile review is not a guarantee of every qualification or real-time permission.
Paid provider work requires a separate written agreement identifying the seller, collection authority, commission or margin, tax and invoice responsibilities, payout timing, cancellations, refunds and disputes. Creating a profile alone does not establish those commercial arrangements.
Keep account information accurate and credentials secure. Do not impersonate others, send fraudulent requests, access others’ data or misuse the service. Upload only content you have the right to publish. You retain ownership and grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content as needed to operate and present your listing. Separate advertising uses require an appropriate permission.
Report unlawful content or a listing concern to our contact email, identifying the relevant page and reason. We may restrict accounts or content for fraud, illegality or material breaches, with reasons and an opportunity to contact us to challenge the decision where required by law. Urgent protective action may precede notice. Suspension does not cancel accrued refund rights.
The professional is responsible for delivering the lesson and complying with the rules applicable to their instruction. LocalSnow is responsible for its own conduct, payment and coordination obligations and express guarantees. Responsibility depends on the facts and applicable law; describing the platform as an intermediary does not settle liability for every incident.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for personal injury, fraud, wilful misconduct or breach of mandatory consumer obligations.
Email us with your reference, the issue and requested remedy. You retain access to competent consumer authorities, applicable alternative dispute resolution and the courts. Spanish law applies subject to mandatory protections in your country of habitual residence and the jurisdiction rights available to consumers. No exclusive Spanish court requirement overrides those rights.
Changes apply prospectively. Material changes to ongoing platform services will be notified with the notice required by law. Existing bookings keep their agreed terms unless a lawful change is agreed with you. English and Spanish versions are intended to have the same meaning; no language clause overrides mandatory rights.
